2024 POOIA Annual Gala - Past Event

Appreciation and Gratitude:

Congratulations to our award winners and runners up. I salute Dr. Arabnia for his hard work to select the awardees among all the bright scholars who had applied. I hope next year we would have more funds to select more awardees.

Appreciation and admiration go towards those who made this event memorable and stellar.

First and foremost, the keynote speech by Dr. Engheta. It is indeed my distinct honor and privilege to express my profound gratitude to Dr. Nader Engheta, our keynote speaker for an insightful presentation with his affable demeanor and down to earth personality.

I would also like to extend my heartfelt appreciation to the attendees for their participation and interest throughout the event.

We are indebted to the Board of Trustees of Kanoon for their generous donation and each and every member of the Board of POOIA for the amount of work, energy and time that they had devoted to our memorable Stars of Tomorrow GALA.

Thanks go to Ms. Donna Bagheri and Tara Bagheri for being our POOIA Website Managers, our youngest POOIA Team members.

Gratitude goes to Ms. Helia Ebrahimi and Ms. Geesea Khalili for the photography of tonight’s Award ceremony.

I do not find the right words to thank Oshagh Ensemble: Ostad Sabour, Ms Noushine Khorrami, Dr. Jalili, Dr. Morteza Rezaee, Omid, Ramin Hemmati and Negar Ghayournejad.

Special thanks go to Delbar and its owner Mr. Fares Karegar for donating the most delicious dinner and thanks go to Mr. Ahmad from the Jerusalem market for the Baghlava. Finally, acknowledgements go to Dr. Minoo Gorji, Ms. Farah Farnia, Dr. Garmestani, Dr. Modaressi for hosting our distinguished POOIA member from Philadelphia, namely, Dr. Kamelia Alavi.

A word of thanks goes to Mr. Hamid Yavari and Dr. Bahram Hojatti for their constant support of POOIA.

Last but not least, I sincerely thank all the wonderful people who donated for this honorable cause and hope to have more donors in the future.

I hope you had enjoyed this unforgettable evening and I am looking forward to seeing you in our monthly lecture series and our award ceremony in 2025.
